James Macpherson: The Poems of Ossian, Boston: Phillips, Sampson & Company, 1851.

Prefatory material (to page 188) scanned at sacred-texts.com, April 2003. Other material based on material developed by exclassics.org, with additional proofing and formatting at sacred-texts.com. John B. Hare, Redactor. This text is in the public domain. These files may be used for any non-commercial purpose, provided this notice of attribution is left intact.

Production notes: This version is based on material produced by Donal O’Danachair. Be sure to visit his website (exclassics.com)--highly recommended! I’ve scanned and proofed about 200 pages of prefatory material, added the original illustrations and page numbers; corrected some typos and added a few missing footnotes to the exclassics etext.

Kun værkets digtdel er indført; Sacred Texts-udgavens indledende afhandlinger er ikke medtaget.

Kalliopes udgave af The Poems of Ossian (1773) er endnu ikke fuldstændig.
